Man opens fire on two sisters in Haryana’s Jind after marriage proposal rejection.

Chandigarh, Jun 21 – A shocking incident unfolded in Haryana’s Jind district when a man opened fire on two sisters, Shinu (25) and Ritu (23), following the rejection of his marriage proposal by their parents. The attack occurred on Friday evening near a railway barrier in Pillu Khera village, as the sisters were making their way home.

According to police reports, the sisters were immediately transported to a local civil hospital and subsequently referred to PGIMS in Rohtak for further medical treatment. Fortunately, the authorities are actively pursuing justice in this case.

Deputy Superintendent of Police (DSP) Gaurav Sharma confirmed that a case has been filed against the suspect, identified as Sunil, who is currently absconding. The police are working diligently to apprehend him under the relevant sections of the Bharatiya Nyaya Sanhita (BNS).

Initial investigations revealed that Sunil is related to the sisters; he is the brother-in-law of Shinu and Ritu’s elder sister, who is married in Popra village, Karnal district. Sunil’s desire to marry Ritu was met with opposition from the family, which reportedly led to his violent outburst.

The police are urging anyone with information regarding Sunil’s whereabouts to come forward as they continue their efforts to ensure the safety of the community and bring the perpetrator to justice.
