New Delhi, Oct 3 – A tragic accident occurred in southwest Delhi’s Najafgarh, resulting in the death of a motorcyclist after being run over by a tractor. The incident took place on October 1 at approximately 7:30 am, near Mannat Automobile and Young India Talent School on Main Dhansa Road in Gopal Nagar.
Upon arrival at the scene, police discovered the body of the victim alongside a damaged motorcycle. Initial investigations indicated that the motorcycle rider was struck and crushed by the rear left tyre of a tractor-trolley that was passing through the area.
The tractor driver, identified as 32-year-old Amit Kumar from Jhajjar district in Haryana, reported to the police that the motorcycle unexpectedly emerged from the left side while he was traveling from Mitraon village towards Najafgarh. Authorities noted that the accident was a result of negligence on the part of the tractor driver, leading to the motorcycle being caught under the vehicle.
The victim’s body has been transported to the mortuary for a post-mortem examination. Both the tractor and motorcycle involved in the accident have been confiscated by the police. A case is currently being registered, and an investigation is ongoing, according to a senior police officer.
