New Delhi, Oct 24 – Delhi Police has apprehended two suspected ISIS operatives who were allegedly plotting a terror attack in a high-traffic area of the national capital, according to an official report released on Friday.
The suspects, both named Adnan and originating from Bhopal, were arrested following specific intelligence inputs during a coordinated operation conducted in Sadiq Nagar, Delhi, and Bhopal, as stated by a senior police officer.
Preliminary investigations indicated that the accused had affiliations with ISIS and were actively planning a significant terror strike in Delhi. Authorities have seized electronic devices and other incriminating materials from their possession.
The suspects are currently undergoing interrogation to determine the extent of their network and the details of their plans, police officials confirmed.
The officer noted that these arrests have successfully averted a potential terror attack in Delhi.
