Chikkaballapura (Karnataka), Oct 24 – A tragic accident claimed the lives of four family members when their motorcycle collided with a school bus in Chikkaballapura district, according to police reports on Friday.

The victims have been identified as Balaji (35), his son Arya (11), relative Harish (12), and brother-in-law Venkateshappa (50). All were residents of Chilakalanerpu and were en route to Thalakayalabetta to attend a marriage ceremony at the time of the incident.

The collision occurred near Burudugunte within the Kencharlahalli limits on Thursday. The motorcycle, which was carrying five individuals, collided with the school bus that was returning after dropping off students from Korlaparthi.

While the four family members tragically died at the scene, Balaji’s daughter, who suffered severe injuries, was promptly transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities have registered a case and are currently conducting further investigations into the circumstances surrounding the accident.
