Chikkaballapura (Karnataka), Oct 24 – A tragic accident in Chikkaballapura district resulted in the deaths of four family members after their motorcycle collided with a school bus, according to police reports released on Friday.

The victims have been identified as Balaji (35), his son Arya (11), relative Harish (12), and brother-in-law Venkateshappa (50). All four were residents of Chilakalanerpu and were en route to Thalakayalabetta to attend a marriage ceremony when the incident occurred.

The collision took place near Burudugunte within the Kencharlahalli limits on Thursday. The motorcycle, which was carrying five individuals, reportedly collided with the school bus that was returning after dropping off students from Korlaparthi.

While the four family members tragically died at the scene, Balaji’s daughter, who suffered severe injuries, was promptly transported to a hospital for medical treatment.

Authorities have registered a case regarding the incident, and further investigations are currently underway.
