Scindia claims INDIA bloc seeks power, while NDA is committed to serving Bihar’s people.

Vadodara, Oct 24 – Union Minister Jyotiraditya Scindia criticized the Opposition INDIA bloc, asserting that their primary interest lies in seizing power in the upcoming Bihar assembly elections. In contrast, he emphasized that the BJP-led National Democratic Alliance (NDA) is focused on serving the people of Bihar.

Scindia expressed confidence in the NDA’s victory in the assembly polls scheduled for next month. He pointed out that the ‘Mahagathbandhan’, a coalition of Opposition parties in Bihar, lacks genuine unity, stating it has neither ‘gath’ (alliance) nor ‘bandhan’ (bond).

While speaking to reporters in Vadodara, Gujarat, prior to his departure for Ekta Nagar in Narmada district to attend the ‘Gramin Dak Seva Sammelan’ (conference of rural postmen), Scindia highlighted the stark contrast between the two coalitions. He claimed that the NDA is committed to serving the people, unlike the Opposition, which he accused of being power-hungry.

Scindia noted that the NDA comprises several parties, including the BJP, Janata Dal (United) led by Bihar Chief Minister Nitish Kumar, and the Lok Janshakti Party (Ram Vilas) under Union Minister Chirag Paswan. He affirmed their united commitment to the welfare of Bihar’s citizens.

He stated, “On one side, there are people who are hungry for power. And on the other side, there are those who are eager to serve the people of Bihar.” Scindia reiterated that under Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s leadership, the BJP and its allies are dedicated to serving the people of Bihar upon being elected.

Voting for the 243-member Bihar assembly is set to occur in two phases on November 6 and 11, with the counting of votes scheduled for November 14. The Opposition ‘Mahagathbandhan’ includes parties such as the Rashtriya Janata Dal, Congress, and Vikassheel Insaan Party, among others, and is part of a national-level coalition of anti-BJP parties.
