Trump halts trade talks with Canada in response to a television advertisement.

Washington, Oct 24 (AP) President Donald Trump announced on social media late Thursday that he is terminating “all trade negotiations” with Canada. This decision follows recent television advertisements that protest US tariffs, which Trump described as “egregious behaviour” intended to sway US court rulings.

The announcement coincides with Canadian Prime Minister Mark Carney’s statement regarding his objective to double Canada’s exports to nations outside the US, in response to the potential risks associated with Trump’s tariffs.
